Energy Distribution

Increasing fossil fuel prices in Europe means that low-income households – an estimated 11 million inhabitants - will have to spend at least 50 % of their current expenditures to compensate for increasing energy prices. Solutions developed in this project is expected to enhance the efficiency of energy distribution networks, resulting in an associated impact on energy savings and prices.

The project results will furthermore allow for reduced CO2-emissions by six million tonnes per year and providing financial savings of five billion euros.
